Mill Meadow - Social, Emotional and Behavioural Support.
Mill Meadow is a hub, based at Okehampton College, which supports all students within the Learning Community who have recognised additional needs in the sphere of social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Mill Meadow is situated in a suite of rooms alongside Okehampton College's Mill Leat Centre. It is staffed by a senior Teaching Assistant who liaises with Primary schools within the learning community to support their incluson of students with social, emotional and behavioural needs. The Mill Meadow Teaching Assistant will be running small group interventions and training up other school staff to run similar interventions in their own settings.
Mill Meadow also has a brand new, specially designed sensory room which is available to all students working in the Mill Meadow hub, or for planned intervention sessions for students across the Learning Community. Community Lynx was key to establishing funding streams and this resource was made possible through the generosity of the Mary Budding Trust, to whom we owe a huge 'thank you'!
Mill Meadow will also benefit from the support and guidance of the highly experienced staff in Okehampton College's Mill Leat Centre, who will be working closely with Stepping Stones and Mill Meadow staff.
